My Instagram Bio say “a work of fiction”. Well, I copied that off from someone else because I loved it. It had a depth that isn’t obvious but once you give it a second thought you realize that no matter who you are, where you’re from, what job you do, most of your time spent throughout your life will be monotonous. Not a pessimistic statement, but a reality. If you want to check just evaluate how you spent the last 3 months of your life. Now, thinking about that I wished that my life had a script written by some Tolkien sort of writer and every day would be adventures but it’s just a wish. Anyways, let that just stay on my bio. What I am talking about today is the value that Fiction Books have to offer.

I am not a big fan of Fiction books, and I haven’t read that many. But, Non-fiction books are obvious enough that you know what they’ll teach you. Fiction, on the other hand, has hidden meanings and interpretations which are very different in each individual's perception. The first book I ever read which was Fiction, if my distinct memory is right was ‘The Fault in our Stars’ followed by Everyone has a Story. Both the books had one great lesson to value life more in general, to be grateful for the small gifts, and be in the moment. Simple lessons but these books make you rethink and value these lessons even more. I have read fantasy books as well and no book ever taught me the value of friendship more than The Lord of the Rings. I feel I lack a little bit of experience on this part of reading fiction books but I feel if you find them interesting, read them. They provide different perspectives on living life. Next, I will try to read The Overstory because Hugh Jackman recommended it, Let’s see how it turns out. What’s your next read?
